Actor Kiran Raj spent three months in Thailand learning mixed martial arts (MMA) to prepare for his role as Ronny in his upcoming film, Ronny: The Ruler. This role marks Kiran’s first time portraying a mass-y character in his career. Kiran emphasizes the importance of mastering skills to execute stunts perfectly on set in order to effectively connect with audiences, noting that viewers notice even the smallest details. In the movie, Kiran plays two characters - Raghav and Ronny. Raghav aspires to be an artist but faces obstacles and setbacks, leading to an eight-year gap between him and Ronny. To accurately represent both characters, Kiran underwent weight training to appear both younger and heavier. When asked about his transition to the action genre, Kiran believes cinema should provide entertainment rather than deliver specific messages, allowing audiences to form their own interpretations. Kiran, who has a strong rapport with director Gurutej Shetty, expresses his intention to focus on film projects over television, using his TV experience as a stepping stone to the film industry and aiming to connect with his fans through his film work.
